History of Region 18
The History of Region 18 started when the person of the late Hmno. Simeon Calibuso, plays an unforgettable role, in spreading Union Espiritista Cristiana De Filipinas, Inc., teachings here in Mindanao particularly here in Davao City. He left his family who resided in Asingan, Pangasinan part of Luzon, to work in Hawaii. He stayed and worked there for a long period of time. When he came back home to the Philippines, they plan to migrate to the “Land of Promise” Mindanao. That was materialized, they settled atIsing Davao del Norte now Carmen. They brought with them “La Perseverancia” banner because they were affiliated under that banner in Pangasinan. When the late Hmno. Marcelino Calibuso et. al. formally built and established a center at Ising (now Carmen) Davao del Norte; he named this UECDFI center “Wisdom” active and existing today. Since the flagship of teaching is Divine Healing many were attracted and convinced, and experienced the magnetic power of Divine Healing, many joined under this banner, this was swiftly spread and scattered when people learned about the sacred teachings of this sect.
Centro: “Ubbog ni Ayat”, was next to stand and established by the late Ambrosio Ferido, who was the UEDCFI commissioner for Mindanao, supported and assisted by Hmna. Basilisa Garcia Marcos the first lone woman to be an officer of UECDFI, in Tagum. During their administration, they were able to establish many UECDFI centers but some detoured to join other denomination, despite the problems encountered by their administration they still manage to have an active existing UECDFI centers today, which counts twenty five (25).
